About
The Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Thousands of years ago, when people were scarce and civilizations backward,
a new era, The Age of Witchcraft and Wizardry slowly dawned. In its
beginning, there lived The Four, the greatest sorcerers the world had ever
known. None who lived before them, nor those who followed after could match
the four. They were the great four - the Four Founders of the School of
Hogwarts. They were Godric Griffyndor the Brave, Helga Hufflepuff the
Modest, Rowena Ravenclaw the Wise, and Salazar Slytherin the Cunning.
The Four Founders shared a dream and a hope, that is, to pass on their great
knowledge and wisdom to the future generations, the heirs of the age of
magic. The dream brought them incentive and the hope brought them unity.
Together and side by side, they worked tirelessly but willingly and finally,
they succeeded. They had built the first and the best and most prestigious school the world had
ever produced - The Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry.
The Hogwarts School was thus founded with the aim of providing the best
education to all who wishes to accept it (for example, the
CLASSROOM®eXpress™
of the HogwartsNET is a good
example of it). There are four houses named respectively after their
founders. All students must be sorted into one of these houses. The Hogwarts
School is in fact a HUGE castle on a high cliff on the edge of a great lake.
Its campus is enormous and secluded from disturbances from the outside. The
air is always fresh and the sceneries magnificently fabulous.
Hogwarts offers a wide variety of subjects, from all magical subjects eg.
Transfiguration, charms, potions, divination, herbology, magical creatures
care, quidditch etc, and the muggle subjects such as Arithmancy, 'muggle
studies' etc. Hogwarts also offers internationally acknowledged tests ie.
the O.W.L.S. (ordinary wizarding levels. The GCE'O' level of the
muggle world is in fact a replica of O.W.L.S.) and N.E.W.T.S.
Hogwarts had educated lots of great witches and wizards throughout its
history, namely Albus Dumbledore, Tom Marvolo Riddle (voldemort),Cornelius
Fudge, Rufus Scrimgeor and Harry Potter. Initially,
Hogwarts was only known to the magic community. However, since Joanne
Kathleen Rowling's 'Harry Potter' series and
Li Hong Yi's
HogwartsNET, Hogwarts began its debut appearance to the muggle community.

He is the one who must be named... he who must be plaudited... he who must
be admired and respected... he who must be spoken of... he who must be

Li Hong Yi was born in Hangzhou, China. He went to Jakarta, Indonesia at the

great flair at creating various things at a young age. He wrote his first
novel at the age of ten, though it was not submitted to publishers. He
created his first website in grade 8, only two weeks after he first heard of
the HTML(website's core programming language).
The birth of the HogwartsNet® series took place at grade 9, for his IBO MYP
Personal Project, a very important task a student has to complete in his
school, GMIS. After countless hours of hard work (24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, 4 weeks a month...), and countless sleepless nights, the glorious
moment finally took place - The HogwartsNet was officially unveiled and
released on the 4th of september, 2007, to the ecstasy of the many fans who
had eagerly awaited this magical and mesmerizing moment.
The
HogwartsNet, as it is still new, still has a lot of loopholes and
uncompleted sections, which can be a rather big drawback for you. But, you
can be assured that this problem will be solved in no time at all. As you
know, numbers are power. Although magnificent, the HogwartsNet will be Much
better if you will kindly help by contributing articles, multimedia, good
ideas, suggestions etc. Please e-mail it to
abudo7@yahoo.com . You can also join
the HogwartsNet, and become a Hogwartser by registering
